Beaver Scouts are our youngest members. We meet weekly and each meeting involves games and activities designed to learn new skills; these new skills earn them badges, each one representing a milestone in their personal development.
Activity badges cover a wide range of subjects and at Beavers, no two weeks are ever the same! Activity badges include:
- Book reader
- Disability Awareness
- Health and Fitness
- Global Issues
Whatever your child’s interests, they will find an activity badge that grabs their attention. At the same time, Beavers gives your child the opportunity to learn about age-appropriate new subjects along the way.
Beavers also work towards Challenge Awards over a number of weeks – usually having the opportunity to earn one per term. Challenge awards include Skills, Personal Challenge, Adventure and Teamwork.
Beavers will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them. We understand that parents might feel anxious about this, so we work closely with you to ensure that everyone involved is comfortable and fully-informed.
As an organisation working with young children, we take safeguarding extremely seriously. All of our leaders have been subject to the Scouts’ safeguarding procedures and are all subject to Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks.
FREE taster sessions! Fill in the contact form and your child will receive an invitation to 3 taster sessions, all at no cost to you.
Nothing from February 28, 2020 to March 27, 2020.
